Spirometers

Post by linotas »

For those of you who have spirometers do you use one way mouth pieces or mouthpiece filters? If so, where do you get them from?

Particularly interested if you use spirometers similar to these:

We have exactly the same ones, & we have plastic mouthpieces. Each kid uses one, & I sterilize them afterwards.

I got them from Haines, about $30 for a bag of 50.

Thanks. They are the ones we have also. However there is some talk (and I happen to agree) that there should be an inline filter or a one way valve system to stop internal contamination of the spirometer. A quick google shows you can get them for the various types of medical spirometers but I can't find any for the student type ones.
