I think I heard last year that they were struggling? Maybe it all got too difficult? Their website has been down for a few weeks now, I think. How sad.

I haven't seen anything from them for a long time - although being at a new school last year we may not have been on their radar, however, even at my last school I can't recall receiving anything from them for a while. A bit of gossip/rumour - you may have noticed their advertising brochures were very similar to another well known company. Someone left the original company and branched out on their own, taking ideas etc with them. I guess it didn't work out. I can only imagine it is a very competitive marketplace.

Merilyn
Adrian from Education Matters used to own Haines then set his wife/partner and daughter up in Education Matters hence the similarity in brochures. There is a lot of competition these days so I guess they called stumps.

Ahhhh. So the rumour was kinda wrong. I agree, there is a lot of competition. I really just want to be able to buy good quality equipment that won't break after one use.
Thanks for filling me in Margaret.
