LPG Bunsen Burners

Post by mtg »

Hi All,
We're having trouble with our new LPG Bunsen's. They are from Haine's and have a red base. MA1230L. The gas seems to splutter and then goes out but only on blue flame. The old Bunsen Burner's are fine. They originally sent out natural gas ones (my error) and they worked really well, like flame throwers.
Haine's are not aware of any other schools having a problem with the LPG ones. We are looking to replace the new ones with a different style, so can anyone suggest what we should get. The Haine's people are so far happy to help us. Thank you

Natural gas burners have a larger aperture due to the lower pressure so that is why they burned so well using LPG! It sounds like a pressure or air mix issue.

we have no trouble with the old LPG burners, we are not allowed to use natural gas burners on our LPG taps, and we need new bunsens. Can anyone on LPG recommend a style of burner or supplier?
