Ohaus balance and an oscilloscope not working

Would any of you people who are clever with repairs be interested in an old Ohaus balance or an oscilloscope?
I have been advised that the cost to repair them is not worth it, however I am reluctant to just toss them. If you were interested in fiddling with them to see if you can get them working I would be quite happy to donate them to you as they are taking up precious shelf space atm.
The balance is Ohaus Adventurer - more than 15 years old.
The oscilloscope is Hung Chang 3502C also more than 15 years old (that's how long I have been here!)
