much much less than any one else. less than a Mc Burger meal deal..
send him a PM letting him know numbers and types of microscopes you have and he will let you know what he will charge.
Our senior ones did not take very long, they were in good shape, so he raced through those. The junior ones were very bad, so that took most of his time. I set him up in a small prep room and took the microscopes to him on trolleys - and he pottered away head down working on them, only being dug out for morning tea lunch and going home time.As we have over 90 microscopes it took a few days.

Hi ocker,
are you still in the repairing business?
I have an induction coil that's not working......
I'm in Lake Macquarie.

Yes! But pension mob won't let me charge ,so would look at it, and see if it can be repaired.
If the coil is burnt out you would have to buy a new one. Either phone me or email me

Hi,
I would love to have someone come and repair some of our aging equipment and perhaps teach me some tips at the same time..Ocker are you still in the business and would you come to Northern Rivers and service a few different schools?

This morning Bob Death came to the North Shore and spent a couple of hours repairing and assessing equipment for me. I don't know how much it will come to, but I have a large pile of back-to-life equipment! So much cheaper than buying new, and so much better for the environment :clap3:
I'm sure those of you who were lucky enough to attend his session at the recent ASET Conference would agree that it's the way to go.

Hi all! Welcome to term 3! I hope you all are doing well.

Just wanting to bump this thread. I've got a few waterbaths, heating mantles and microscopes that need a look at. Do any of you have contacts? I'm in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs.

Thanks!!

As a Victorian based repairer I've repaired many, but for some parts are impossible to get or very expensive to have made.
So what we need to know is the brand and the model number to be able to comment on the possibility.

We use this mob....they do most states. Have known one of the service techs for 20+ years and used him in many different industries.

Just had this company( edusupplies) out to service our microscopes and I can only sing their praises. They were totally professional ,very approachable and very efficient.
I would recommend them to any school that needs a service on their microscopes. :clap3: :clap3:

Just wondering if you found someone?

Also, does anyone know if there's a course I can do to refresh my microscope cleaning skills? I did a session back when the St Mary's conferences were a thing.... then was out of science labs for 8 years and now have a small stash of microscopes needing a look-over. I would rather not outsource knowing I should be able to do it myself but also don't want to cause damage by doing something wrong!
