chemical cards

Post by smeee »

In the 70's or 80's, sets of chemical and equipment cards were available ( through Govt Stores ) to schools.
The man who designed them would like a set of the chemical cards, if anyone has a set they no longer need or use.
Alternatively he is happy to scan them and return.
If you can help out please let me know.
Thanks

Is that the ones with beakers, and other apparatus on the white ruled card which explains the uses etc. if so I have most of these cards if you need them for scanning. If someone would pay for the postage there and back or pickup is acceptable.

Thanks Superbug

I think I have a set put away somewhere. I don't really want to part with it but happy to loan. Nostalgia is a sad thing isn't it? :giggle:

I have both that he is welcome to scan. I also have the drawers (greymetal) that they were designed for. I will part with one if he would like. These cards are useful for training young or new labbies.

These were my bible when I first started here back in 1999.
I would consult them whenever necessary.
They contained a whole lot more information then what is in CSIS.
For interest I grabbed one for comparison to the CSIS information, it is Zinc Sulphate as that was the easiest to grab being the last on in the pile.

Just be careful with copying and using this information for chemicals - there has probably been a lot of changes to these chemicals since these cards were produced. Best to refer to the current safety data sheet.
