If you could change anything, what would you change in the CSIS ?

There seems to be quite a few chemicals missing from appendix D and yet others I've never heard of. Does anyone use ammonium vanadate?

I do. we use it for the The oxidation states of vanadium experiment year 12

I would like to see the formula's included with each chemical.
Also the GHS symbols that relate to the chemical.

There also need to be direct guidelines as to the storage of the chemicals. Previously the chemicals have been stored in their classes.
The new labelling doesn't have these classes on them so how are they stored and from what I have read they cannot haver the GHS symbols and the dangerous good classes on the same label.

Are they to be stored according to the hazard with all those that have "Corrosive" together, those that are dangerous to fish together etc?
Which hazard symbol are they stored under?
This has the potential to put chemicals that were previously not to be stored together now stored together.

This needs to completely clarified in the CSIS.

We use ammonium molybdate for Phosphate analysis by colorimetric method.I think molybdate is complexing agent and colours the solution blue.

So we have been told, we must follow the CSIS until Alan Smith updates this. Storage goes by the CSIS, and the labels GHS, Silly I know, its a mad mad world. We have our Corrosive all together. But some like HCL 0.1M are not corrosive (Once dulited) but I do find it easier to have all the HCL together, in the Class 8 Corrosive cupboard. At least we have our backs covered, so I have been told.
