Yesterday we received our newest editions to our science family, 6 rhinoceros beetles.
I have set them up in their new accommodations and they happily burrowed in under the compost.
They are currently about to indulge in a lovely ripe banana.
You are probably wondering why we got them now so close the holidays.
Answer: You can only purchase adult beetles in December and January and we don't start back at school until early February.
The only thing I am worried about is knocking one off over the holidays.
