Whats Happened to Chemtalk

When I came in this morning and tried to access Chemtalk as I do every morning it would not let me load the page. I kept getting an error. Even when I did a Google search I couldn't get into the page. I managed to get in by a very obscure route and now the appearance of Chemtalk is weird. A strange new format and I don't like it! I'm assuming everyone else is having the same experience??!!

The forum was upgraded over the weekend. Unfortunately, the original theme was reset to the default theme for all users. You can change it back, go into User Control Panel -> Board Pref -> Edit Global Settings -> My Board Style - > choose subsilver from the dropdown, then save. You might have to log out and back in again for it to take effect.

So I haven't been able to get onto Chemtalk for 2 days, and I only managed to get on now by a longer route via google???? But I went back out and tried to access it through my usual way but no go!!!!

If you get in again do what Mr Burns suggested above. This fixed it for me!

Nope, when I got in the format was the old one and when I did what Mr Burns suggested it actually changed it to the new look format, but when I logged out and started again I still can't get in through the old way. I have to go through "Chemtalk.com.au-australian24.com" but I CAN get in so that's ok. i don't have any emoji's though!! First world problems I tell you sheesh!!

We are still waiting for the DNS servers to propagate, it should be done over the next few days.

It's amazing how much you count on Chemtalk until it is not there.
I have not been able to get in all week and being someone that logs in several times a day to see what is happening it has been like leaving your watch or mobile phone at home.
it just doesn't feel right.

Thank goodness we are back online. I was feeling very worried that I couldn't log on or find the web page. Missed you all. First world problem but this is a very necessary part of my day.
