Inability to access some topics

Post by Rita »

Well, I just got a surprise.

Looking in the Safety with Chemicals forum, I clicked on the topic "disposing of potassium nitrate solution" and the screen went red with school notice saying I don't have permission to visit due to bomb hazard.

Hope you got an answer to your question.

It is time you had a chat with your IT guy to let him know that access to this site is very important for you to be able to do your job. You can also let him know that as part of your job, you will also be looking for further information on the internet with regards to the safe use and disposal of chemicals. Also let him know that If you can't access this important information then at some stage you may inadvertantly dispose of a chemical that you have been denied access to relevant information about by the school, which can put the school at risk of a WH&S review.
P.S. There are quite a large number of lab techs across Australia who do not have access to the specific CSIS information/guides that the NSW public high schools have.
