Re: elephant toothpaste
We always use the yeast-H2O2-detergent one as it's safer for everyone and clean up is easier for me.
What is the student going to study via this experiment? If it was one of ours, I'd probably accuse him/her of a non serious attempt!!

Any health food shop should stock it, and it's pretty cheap.

Aprons or Lab coats
Hi all,
We need to get aprons or lab coats for our students and, as we have limited space for hanging up, I'm in favour of aprons. This leads to the question, should we buy cotton, poly cotton or rubber aprons??
What do y'all use?
Any thoughts gratefully accepted.
Cheers

I'm guessing that's not Australian; dated 2002, but we've never had those colour codes.
But, as you say Marg, a good place to start!

Seems a bit like re-inventing the wheel when we pay annual subscriptions to ChemWatch and RiskAssess for this very information?

So, heaps of notice, then!
We use indicator sticks for water testing these days; they're easy to use and accurate enough....from SBS.

Not exactly what you were looking for, but this is one of the investigations we do using trypsin....works really well and it's dead simple.
