Re: Fume cupboard in prep room

Hi All
Our prep room shares a fume cupboard with a lab - cupboard is a bit noisey when it is on - teacher will not allow fume cupboard on when she is in class. We have to prepare chemicals in recess or lunch times as lab is always occupied

Re: Chemffx Labels

Hi David
Why don't you use Chemwatch Gold III to keep a chemical register? I did use Chemwatch Gold II at my previous school for the whole school chemical register and found it very good, but Chemgold III seems a little bit more complicated.

Hi Estelle
Yes do you actually get paid for the holidays? I think you will find that it is averaged over the 52 weeks. In actual fact some of us are "stood down" for the holidays. It would be nice though!

Hi Merilyn

"Feel the fear and do it anyway" is the motto I live by. Life is too short to be miserable. And anyway you can always go back to Lab Tech duties somewhere.
Good luck for the future

Yes I have had exactly the same problem with all Serrata products in the last two years - I have stopped buying from Serrata because the quality is so variable. If you phone Max your are lucky to get off the phone within 20 minutes.
