Moulding Latex

Anyone got any idea where to buy Moulding Latex other than through a chemcial supply company as I don't want to buy a product and pay about $25 fright just for 1 product and the teacher needs it quicker than the week or so it will take to get to me??
Thanks

Re: Holidays

Get 4 weeks annual/recreation leave a year here in Tassie, come in during the term holidays unless I take some of the 4 weeks leave although I get paid for being in at work and do get a fair bit done without the students and teachers around

Re: Ammonium Nitrate

The Education Department in consultation with Workplace Standards Tasmania told us we had to get rid of any ammonium nitrate we had unless we wanted to apply for a permit around $300, the school I work in had about 100g and we got told to dilute it with water and use it on the garden

I set up and test experiments sometimes although we have a teacher who if something doesn't work says "well nothing in science is meant to work 100% of the time" or "if something scientific works 100% then somebody is doing something wrong" or a similar comment

WA Regional Technicians Group Website

Hi All

Even though I am not in WA, I am in TAS I use the Regional Technicians Group website as a source of information particularly the repairs section.
Can anyone give me an idea as to why the site doesn't seem to working anymore.
Thanks

Chem Labels

I use ChemGold II (ChemWatchi on the Net) and then save and edit the labels using Word. Its pretty time consuming but it has to be done, they are working on a new version of ChemGold but I don't know if its going to be much better or worse, will wait and see

Suitable Shoes

Good Old Blunnies (Blundstones) with or without steel cap, slip on or lace its your choice. As long as you look after them they will give a good few years service. Again expensive but excellent quality

Chemwatch Issues

What does everyone do when they cannot find a particular chemical on Chemwatch/Chemgold II? For example they list some concentrations of Hydrochloric Acid but not all of them. This questions has most likely been asked and answered elsewhere on the forums but i couldn't find it. Also printing labels ...

Agar Plates

Nicky

Did you sterilise the agar before you poured the plates? I use an old pressure cooker and 500ml glass bottles (Schott Duran Reagent bottles) but you should only half fill them and loosen the lids before hand. Thats the recipie that i use as well
