Hi All,
Don't add the oxidiser.... the Iron in blood will act as this, this is what produces the glowing Luminol.
Cheers,

Hi All, So I don't copy my post on the Astronomy thread 7 topic I can say that the Southern eastern seaboard will only see the Partial Eclipse. Eg, Post Stevens, Newcastle/Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney regions will only get the partial. Although If we lived in the United States they get to see the L...

Re: St MARY'S 2012
Hi Noona/All,
I would love to present at the St Mary's but every year it seems to clash with my University studies and eam period.
Is there a calendar you could devise to show upcoming dates or is this a challenge too difficult to forsee?

Hi All,
Mostly darkens due to Pb in glass...
Lead in levels where is it neglegible, but over time causes the acid to darken..
If you look carefully the hint of dull grey will be apparent.

Re: Platinum metal
Hi All,
Platinum works the best here, and we all know that the precious metal costs all but..
Trick-of-the-trade, Shop around and phone before you order for the best price carefully as the metal fluctuates with the stock market. Remember (precious metal!!!)..

Re: Food in labs
Hi All, I have never allowed food in the laboratories, "Sigh" I guess it just a general consensus that in Industry we have standards and those aren't being pushed right from the start (e.g. at high school level), This may seem a bit harsh but I guess it only my opinion, we move our food op...

Hi All, Can I just step in here and offer a means to the end of the autonomous array... The policy for eating in the preproom is of a general consensus, ethically I would not necessarily eat in the preproom, ALTHOUGH - If there is an area well away from preparation areas then this could be fine. The...

Re: sodium sulphate
Hi All, There is no problem with your solution, the pH change is due to the Anhydrous beginning to absorb water as you add it to make the 1M solution. Hydrogen in the Water is being raised to a higher energy level (into H 3 O+) and this is contributing to the pH 10 you are experiencing. This only ne...
