:giggle: Hi, here I do them in the taller plastic specimen jars, when finished I use a tea strainer and put the sodium silicate in a "recycled" bottle for use next time :wink2: It does discolour a little but perfectly fine for a few uses and the plastic specimen jars clean up fine as well!...

You need 28.8g made up to a litre to make 0.1M, therefore 2.88g to make 0.1M/100mls you have approx twice this so roughly 0.2M or 0.174M to be exact (5g devided by 2.88g) I think thats right! MariaC

Thanks Lis but that list differs from the one I mean, part of it is in the DET "Working with Science" but its not complete marble is 8, slate 17i. I thought it may be a generic DET list MariaC

DET schools seem to use a universal system but I dont have a complete list and now work in a private school does anyone have that list as Im about to embark on this journey, and my theory is if it aint broke dont fix it starts Mica 1, orthoclase feldspar 2a etc MariaC
