Re: School Uniforms
No lab coats here, students tuck their ties in and hair is tied back, but 99% sensible students. I do have disposable aprons for the larger dissections. We have never had a problem.

Hi, I did a quick google and this came up, looks like just tripods with beakers and plastic filter funnels, maybe use microscope lamps if you still have them?? All equipment we already have? https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Berlese-Tullgren-funnel-for-micro-arthropods-extraction-It-contains-a-sam...

Re: Back Titration Ideas
Hi Guys,
Its where you cant titrate one substance directly against another, so you react A with B in excess and then titrate residual B against C and calculate the amount of A by working out how much of B was used in the first reaction! Hope that makes sense!

Re: Dropper bottle teats
Hi Bigmack, I agree when I got the teats they were a bit small for some tops and could easily be pulled out of the teat hole, so definitely not a universal size. And like yourself, over a few months have already found a number starting to perish, so in many ways would prefer to go back to the rubber...

Re: Safety Shower testing
:D Hi All, Just wondering on this safety shower thread, I believe that they are also supposed to be tested and tagged once a year as per fume cupboards, which seems overkill in a school setting, I always think the standards are written for industrial settings not schools were we have very small amou...

Storage of Dichloromethane
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I should store dichloromethane? I have safe handling and disposal details, but for storage all I can find, is in glass and kept away from light? So should I just put in on the "Toxic" shelf??
Cheers MariaQ

Hi All, I have hundreds and hundreds of dropper bottles with droppers and rubber teats, most of our chemicals go out into the labs this way.
