Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if MTA (took over Serrata) are still viable? They havent answered any emails for weeks, I just tried to place order to their sales email and it bounced back and just tried their 1800 number and not working??

Re: Operation of Steam Sterilizer
Hi Guys, I just used the steam sterilizer I found in the back of the cupboard, after Westlab kindly sent me a manual as I didnt have one. I also am perplexed, but can only assume it's something to do with trying to "dry steam"??? I was worried that there would be no water left in the steri...

Re: Autoclave Purchase
Hi Guys, I currently have a pressure cooker that I use, but I like the idea of the powered one as I assume you can set to turn off? Or at least have a timer, sometimes I forget I have left the pressure cooker on.
Thanks for your replies!

Re: Making crystals from different solutions
Just a heads up cobalt chloride solid in teacher only according to RissAssess, and only the most dilute solutions are suitable for student use, therefore we no longer use it in crystal gardens. Suspected of causing cancer and infertility, not something I want for our students :w00t: , well maybe one...

I bought some chemicals from Silform, and found they were a lot lower grade, especially the magnesium ribbon, I probably wont buy from them again. MariaQ

Re: School Uniforms
No lab coats here, students tuck their ties in and hair is tied back, but 99% sensible students. I do have disposable aprons for the larger dissections. We have never had a problem.
