In the past we always used elodea but that is banned also now we use "pink baby tears"

I once ordered starch from Govt. stores & was sent corn flour, (it would not dissolve and would not work)

Any meat is OK! as long as you keep above 80 C in drying oven!
Some of the fruits though present a problem as they remain soft and never dry completly
