Re: school science project

not sure how well it would work, maybe an icecream container or similar with a 'lego town' in it and some water to partially cover the houses, for a flood, or the opposite for a drought, with dry dirt and a house or paddock scene with animals. Something like ash, with burnt sticks for a bushfire? Th...

Re: Risk Assessments.

Hi Judy, I do the RA's(we use Risk Assess software), and the teachers are to read & sign it before the prac can go ahead. I agree it is not really our responsibility to do them, but they dont get done otherwise, just more proof we are indispensible. I file them in a folder on my desk for the cur...

Hi Adrianna

Can I suggest that you put your resume out to all the local schools, you never know who will have a position waiting for someone to step into.
Good luck

Hi Maria

I have found it is quite slow, even loading the home page, it gets very frustrating, I am going to mention it to our IT dept too.

Re: How do you Organize Your Rocks & Minerals

Hi Maria

If you look on the previous page at Robdean post she has kindly put the list, hope this helps

Where does everyone get their supply of rocks from? We have the small sample rocks/fossils in the boxes, but to have others to really play with would be excellent.

I really like the idea of lab coats for pracs, but the washing & cost becomes an issue, I got rid of towels, because of contamination and they are a fire hazard, cos they dont get hung up and all the stuff that geton them. They were used over & over on benches, floors YUKK :yuck: , they were ...
