I have a problem keeping litmus indicator, it tends to go off and smelly, what am I doing wrong?, I follow the instructions when making it up and filter it well, does anyone have any suggestions.

you could try your local Uni, Wollongong being a large uni may have a supply of rats, hope this helps.

I have been asked in the past to make Bromine water by distilling potassium bromide, manganese dioxide and conc sulphuric acid into a drescher flask with distilled water, I was wondering if anyone makes it this way anymore, as it is quite dangerous.
