Re: NaCl crystal growing prac?

Rowyrow, I have been recycling Copper Sulphate for the last 6 years and have never had to buy any....thus its very affordable. Any experiment that is done with CuSO4 is recollected and just reused. I collect the crystals (solids to make solution) & solutions to make the crystals. Most of the jun...

Re: preserving insects

With insects once they are dry you cant 'pickle' them.
If they are pinned out then leave them that way as they are delicate
You can make a display board of inscect classification and then use them for Y7 'making a key', classification
Flys/beetles/butterfies etc.
Great for open days..'Bug Board'

Re: Bio-plastic embedding

After the sand paper if your block is still murky use, Bicarb, a drop of water & soft cloth then dry. Next, toothpaste, water and soft cloth.
You need to add muscle as well!
These are finer abrasives which help polish up the surface.

Ring their reception and they will point you in the right direction. I also so an add in the local paper, collecting books for Rowanda. Drop off was a local Church. Gr...

I pick off the main bits by hand or metal spatula then run them through the dishwasher.
It must be hot enough as it removes the residue, glassware is clean!
