Ours are the same as AnnNos. Easy to fold up and robust. Easy to store. Just some conduit and rope tied through them. We have 50cm and 1M quadrats.

Re: How big is it?
WOW,
The x-labby here slaughters their own meat. She brought me in a bullocks pluck once OMG it was freakin huge and heavy. It didn't fit in the freezer so everyone had to use it within 24 hrs.
Kids loved it they could stick their fingers in all sorts of places (with gloves on of course).

We just use sterile cotton buds to innoculate our plates. Dip in bacteria and wipe onto the plates.

Re: IB Pracs
I'm not sure what an IB is but we do something similar (I think) in QLD called and EEI (extended experimental investigation) where students have to work on a individual research project. Can be absolutely chaotic at times. We have reined the projects in now and students choose from a list of activit...

Re: agar
Trouble is its not a difference of a couple of dollars its more significant then that.
$88.00 for agar
$171.30 for nutrient.
I will definately be making up my own nutrient agar much much cheaper.
