Re: Chemicals in Cars
Sad, but clearly she was not so smart...smoking in the car while carrying chemicals...???? And she also was carrying it in the front on the seat....she was almost doomed from the start! I agree, the sad thing is, ask any Hair dresser about the training they have had in the dangers of the chemicals ...

Re: New Dropper Bottles
I have been using them for a few years now, they are great. I use them for everything except Iodine and Potassium permangante. I use them for Silver nitrate and cover the outside with foil, and sticky tape not a problem. The only problem I have with them is kids don't screw the dropper closed and te...

Re: Who does this?
Off track a bit, just curious does anyone else out there, have Yr7 students taken out of class after lunch to pick up papers and empty bins? Small group of kids for average 20mins a day for a week. Can't say much about our GA, I've been waiting since the beginning of November for extra hooks in labs...

Re: Teacher declarations
We do the same as bindibadgi, except for the questionaire, but will be telling the HOD all about it, for next year. I'm sure they don't read it though, either that or I have 2 that think it doesn't apply to them. I just keep repeating myself, and so does the HOD at meetings. :banghead2: :banghead2: ...

Re: time table
That's just silly, I bet any of your teachers couldn't do that. I'm in the Catholic system and ours is by school numbers also, if on permanent part-time they can't cut your hours, they can give you extra duties. I would be speaking with the union and finding out exactly what they want you to do. We ...

Re: Prac Order Forms
Hey Dime, It was easy, did the big chemical ones first (that took forever) then copied and pasted to a word doc. (marked inserts) then after that just copy and paste to a standard template. After that its really only the method section. The only thing when we go national or they change the text book...

Re: Prac Order Forms
We do it different again, I have a teachers diary in the prep. room they simply fill in period section YR. prac./no. I check at 3.30 each day. 8.30 each morning I cross the next days page, once crossed no more pracs can be added. During our renovations I did a risk assessment for every practical in ...

Re: Rusty Incubator
Mine is really old and has a few rust spots, I usually keep the door slightly ajar and switched off when not in use, mainly because it sinks otherwise.
