Re: Hoffman voltameter
Can anyone tell me if there's an actual difference between the red and black electrodes? Is it just the colour of the wire or is there a physical difference that would impact its use? There is no difference Rosalie . They are usually both Platinum. The only reason they are colour coded is so the te...

At my old school , we had solid metal ones .They had proper pointed pivots and adjustable bearing cups . ......and they were over 60 years old . I want all metal ones also. Our kids are rough on equipment, and plastic would only last a year or two! After a fair bit of searching, I found some metal ...

Acids in one and bases in the other. Solids above liquids. I agree with Merilyn. Separate the acids and bases. I'm not sure which ones you'd put the not-specifically acid or base ones though. Maybe where they fit? Check sds for storage compatibility on those ones. Thanks Merilyn and Rosalie . That ...

Put a coil of copper wire in the Silver nitrate . Silver will come out of solution and build up on the copper wire . (Displacement reaction ) . You can then collect it as actual Silver metal . When you retire ,it will be worth more than a goldwatch :cheesy: Why are you wanting to get rid of Silver n...

Re: New Dropper Bottles
I use something similar to the first two for coloured dyes. I haven't had any issues with the bottles deteriorating and they seem to be student resilient (I haven't had any returned broken). I would personally go for the one with a harder/thicker plastic as that is what I have here and it seems to ...
