Re: Chemical register/ stock take
My chem register has been accepted by the auditing team every year since I have been here, (6 years) I don't have the packaging group. I have its class, and the date of the SDS (all within 5 years).

Re: What paper towel do you get ?
we also use the tork rolls. I just ask the cleaner for some, and he gives me about 10 rolls at a time. There is one in each lab, and I have the rest locked away in the chem store. We do have a teacher who stock piles at least 2-3 rolls for himself, so when he is away, i go in and reduce his hoard. S...

Oh J, hope you're ok! I got a block of work for a labbie after she did a similar thing and was off work for a while. I can't help with the supplier - mine is marked as from Q stores, so its been here a while. With tubing for Pastueurs, I use clear tubing from the bunsens looped around, and a straigh...

Re: Enquiry
I have a compactus, and in the 2 other schools I have worked at had them too.
Ours is BROWNBUILT, its great, except something has moved and now it doesn't slide freely, I have to get all the sections to push together to create a straight runner to get it over one spot. (if that makes sense)

Re: cleaning benches after dissection
Can you just use spray and wipe? I have kept an empty spray bottle and I have put some dishwashing liquid in it (quality stuff, not homebrand like i use for everything else) put some in the bottom of the spray bottle, then fill with water. I use it to clean benches, tubs and general light cleans. Wi...

Was there any damage to the office or the admin person?
If anyone is injured then its a worksafe issue need to fill in the form.
You could try the WH & S directorate or your deputy principal

Re: Microscopes Help
Personally. I would contact a supplier, and have them come out and do a demo of their stock, talk you through how to use them / clean them and maintain them.
They then might be able to do a deal for purchasing several at one time.

Re: day old chicks
I remember doing imprinting in year 12. We taught those chicks to follow us, and respond to us like their Mummy's. I was up twice a night to reheat the hot water bottle i had my little chick wrapped up on, and she lived!! She went on to a very happy life at my aunty's property, giving her eggs most ...

The staff room is too far. By the time I give my students medications at the start of lunch, and gather my lunch and walk up there, toast / heat or do whatever, lunch is over. So I just eat here, browsing stuff on the internet during lunch.
