Our kids did the same thing a few years ago. I had a heap of old glass peri dishes, so with PVA glue I stuck them down, then glued the lid down it dry clear. Numbered + laminated sheet describing each insect in detail. Year 7 use them now mostly. They can't shake or pull them apart. :cheesy: Spiders...

Hi hope this helps, SOP, a risk assessment is done for each practical that is required to be used in the fume cupboard.

The on guard system is used alot in TAS departments, as of next year it will include science. If you google it, it has alot of SOP more O.H.&S issues. I went last year too, it was very good. I found it to be a bit of a sale pitch. However, I ditched the vernier and purchased the ezilog which is so simple to use. Teaching some of the teachers has proved to be a little harder. But would highly recommend going, that was how I learnt about this site. ...

hi Kel, some of mine hatched a couple of weeks ago and are doing fine, I've been feeding them on the gum trees out the front of the school, (I can go for a smoke at the same time) The only thing that I'm a bit worried about is the holidays I have to take them home, hopefully a change in diet is not ...

I use mine in the prep. room for scalpel blades, the ones in the labs are for display only the kids can get the blades out if they try hard enough. So everything is returned to me for disposal.

PJ's sounds good, maybe if we get some rain one day I might sugest to the kids we have a movie day and stay in our PJ's.
