Re: Beads

We use coloured match sticks as well.
Just soak them for 1 min in food colour lay on paper towel over night to dry. I just have a tub of each colour and when I notice getting down just make some more.
Cheap and easy. :D

Re: How many fume cabinets do you have?

I have 3 fume hoods, one in a lab, one in a preproom(I Have 3 preprooms) and the third in the other preproom which opens both prep and adjoining lab. we have 1000 students and apart from me they hardly get used. It's been great as I can do some when it's quiet at work or at home. I have to travel to Armidale 2 times a semester. And it's hands on work. My te...

Re: Leaf starch experiment

Hi I need suggestions on an alternate plant than geranium or mint to do this experiment.
One that is varigated would be ideal...
My geranium plants are not varigated and the teachers want varigated, and I can't seem to purchase a plant to suit.
PLEASE HELP!!! [-o<

Digestion of foods Prac.

Hi Friends, recently we tried to do digestion with various food samples, and we used 2M sulfuric acid. then left for a couple of days. This didn't work all it seemed to do is cook the food, (we tried raw meat and vege's). Does anyone do a similar prac, and if you don't mind sharing what acid(solutio...

Ilona, I recently did the chemgold course and Josh the presenter said that the government has not officially signed off on the labels yet, so they haven't changed it but we will notice once they are officially in. Re: Where do you got your information from??

If I don't read it here, sometimes I get it from the OHS (WHS now i think)committee at my school. But 9 times out of 10 it's from here. I think people who are closer to the city's have more access to training days with experts who know what will happen or the right way to do things, we could go, but...

If we have to store metho etc in flammable cupboards, why does the others get away with it. Also Everything labeled and colour coded (green dotsetc) i...
