We get every piece of electrical equipment and power cord done every year... ideally. It's the responsibility of the maintenance department, so if they're having a busy time it might slip by a few months. Or, like this year, their tagging machine could be broken.

Yep as with noona we do this in zip lock bags. Then the kids can squish it around with their hands without getting everything sticky. I think the recipe we use is like what Rae posted, but the kids make it up as part of the experiment so I'm not sure of the proportions myself. We use solid Borax tho...

I'm also on CG3, and have been getting the obsolete warning. We're an independent school, so we have to manage our own transition, which I still need to get around to... Can I get a hint about the cost before contacting the Chemwatch people?

We use plasticine or play dough people. The students get to have fun making them and it's more realistic for the demonstration if they're human shaped. Play dough, being a lot softer than plasticine, works well. We then sit them on our dynamics trolleys that we use with ticker timers.
