Hi there Ian, I have just briefly viewed the FAQ via the link you posted and we must fall into the hostile environment category. Here in the science dept we test all equipment yearly. With all our precious cherubs using electrical equipment, it is if nothing else a safeguard as we know how equipment...

Here in NSW we have a document called Chemical Safety in Schools where in Section 3.2.4(b) page 29. It says "Experiments with fresh human blood or fresh humanb tissue eg. cheek cell smears should not be undertaken."

For our density prac we use golden syrup, water and oil to which we add a couple of jelly beans, wing nuts, lego blocks and peanuts. This works well. The teacher handles the peanuts.

I have had similar issues with Max and serrata and avoid there like the plague. I use A4 or A3 boxes and sperate with bubble wrap. Works well. For the round bottom flasks I keep them in the boxes they came in.

In woolworths Narellan, NSW, the Junket tablets are again available, 12 tablets for under $3 (Hansells Junket Tablets 9g). they are also available via their online store @ $3.22.
