Re: Chemical labels

In relation to Chemwatch and copying labels. I could do that last year when they were on the data base in HTML format but now they are in PDF and it only copies as an image unless your school system has PDF writer. I contacted Chemwatch yesterday and was told they are finalising software for customi...

Re: Preserved specimens.

At uni we were recommended a 70% methylated Spirits with distilled water solution.
If there has been leakage from the jar you only need to top up solution. There was one of our specimens that was looking a little cloudy and I successfully replaced the solution.

Re: Pipette Fillers

Jen,
We started with the bi-pumps and found that there were those that did not hold the fluid, it would slowly drain out, so we went to the bulb filler and sure someone will over fill but generally all is good.
Decisions decisions.

Re: Another Colour Coding problem!

I was thinking the same as Rosalie, that it is a product containing toluene and xylene. A thopught is that, is the product one that is in regular use domestically which would lead me to believe that it is not in the category as those chemicals as they are on their own. What does your HOS say about it?

Hi there Voice, This seems like a very useful site. Recently Sue Rowley put up an attachment that has a listing of was seems to be all the solutions that you could require.
