Re: Notice for experiments?

Our rule is 24 hours notice. Sometimes I will get experiments out if less than 24 hours ordered but I have great teachers who will get in and help me also as I do food tech prep as well and sometimes it can be quite hectic. They look after me too!

Re: PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT PLANS

We have had a staff meeting on it. We were given the appropriate forms, information etc. I am presuming the SAM is the PDP supervisor but I could be wrong. I have also familiarised myself what was on Schoolbiz and information from the PSA.

Re: Dishwasher Meile vs Omega(on special at Westlab $505)

We have just purchased a domestic dishwasher but it is yet to be installed. It is to replaced a second hand one that the school was given. It lasted a couple of years. Hand washing does suck!! Can't wait for the dishwasher to be operational.

Re: absolute zero demonstrator

We have one too. I don't think it has worked properly since the day we bought it. I do know the former HT and a teacher have had a go at making it work but I don't know whether they have had success. As to the replacement gauge I don't know. Sorry.

Re: Storing Alligator wires

Hi remlap12

You could bundle them together with a bulldog clip in the middle with a piece of string looped through the clip and then hang the string from a nail.

Re: rat dissection

We buy ours from Southern Biological also. Just this morning I washed the toads ready for dissection. They are preserved in Perfect Solution which is safe but it does smell. The students will have to wash the toad or rat on making the first cut or two to remove the last of the preservative. Hope thi...

Re: SASSPA

Hi All
I have become a member of SASSPA for the very first time in the last fortnight. I don't know what benefits I will get from it. I will just have to wait and see. The school paid for the membership.

Hi

Southern Biological have skulls of cassowary, kookaburra, numbat, red kangaroo, possum, crocodile and many more. They also have many that are not listed in their catalogue. You just need to give them a ring.

Hi All Here on the Southern Tablelands and South Coast Elodea is a noxious weed class 4 and it cannot be progagated or knowlingly distributed. I am growing hygrophilia in my fishtank at school for that same experiment. Check with the local list of noxious weeds in your area. I hope this helps. Laverne
