Re: alternatives to Chemwatch

Hi all.

Many of your responses answer the question I asked today about using an alternative to ChemWatch because of the huge expense now having to pay to have access to it. Thank you also. If I had seen this post earlier I would not have needed to submit a post myself.

Linda. :)

SDS & lables

Hi, Here at the school I work in we use ChemWatch to print off the SDS sheets needed and also labels for our bottles, jars etc. The ChemWatch programme has become extremely expensive to access and I am wondering what company you use to obtain these sheets and labels to adhere to our legal requiremen...

Re: Dialysis tubing

Hi,

If you want to seperate the tubing in it's dry form, get a couple of pieces of sticky tape, place on each side of the tubing and pull open. You can then blow into it to open up the rest of the tubing.

Camera on ceiling

Hi all, This may a bit of a long shot, I was just wondering if anyone had a set up in a lab where you may have a camera attached to the ceiling looking down on a demonstration which then is projected through a data projector. Our teachers are looking at implementing such a set up. I am completely cl...

I have no ideas but this is a free sign builder sight. You can create any saying or line or other that you want. It can be quite alot of fun.

Which Heinemann's book do you need? We might have a CD here but will have to check.

Re: Do you go to faculity meetings?

We only have one faculty meeting per term as we have a set programme for all the teachers, for each year level, year after year and yes I do go to faculty meetings. I think it is very important to go and I concure with what you said Sue. A perfect place to have discussions about issues and hopefully...

Re: Cleaning a dishwasher

Thanks, I will give that a go. And yes I love this site. I have only been a labby for almost 2 years with no science background. I am always learning lots of interesting and basic things that I don't know about, for example storing magnets. I now know the correct way of doing this. Go Chemtalk!!

Cleaning a dishwasher

Hi all,
Could anyone give me some hints on what they use and do to clean their dishwasher surfaces by hand. The dishwasher here is about 8 years old and is quite stained.
Thanks Maverick.
