Re: Acetic Acid 1M to 0.1M

For the 1M, just dilute it ten times. ie take 100mls and put it in a 1000mL measuring cylinder, then add water to the 1L mark.
The 2M would be diluted 20 times. So take 50mLs and add water to the 1L mark.

We always use split peas, blend for about 15secs with water. I'm sure the recipe is on here somewhere.

Re: Insurance travelling while shopping for school

Well that's interesting Noona. Because I was involved in an incident last term that I think you should all be aware of. I was on an inservice in Sydney with another lab tech, and at the end of the day as we were making our way back to the train station to return to Wollongong, Anne fell down the sta...

Thanks for the suggestions. In the end we broke up some plates, and the kids had to put them back together (not glued, just in place). Went well.

We put air locks (with limewater) on top of the flask. The air locks can be purchased from the home brew shops. Weigh the whole set up before and after.

Re: Help Please- pH solutions for enzyme pracs

Every year we seem to try something different, and each year results are interesting! This year I'm going to give them the Hydrogen Peroxide with either HCl or NaOH added to desired pH as recommended. But, would that affect the Hydrogen Peroxide?
