Some of our kids grew maggots last year for their biology EEI. You do not have to fill out any animal ethics paperwork as its an invertebrate.

Your local BOC will have it. It is about $11 a kilo, just take a little esky with you.

Just note that it wont last all day so best to pick it up just before you need it.

Mine are kept in the original boxes. All the gear gets mixed up and put back in the wrong boxes as expected. :-(
But I have a great physics teacher who gets his class to help me to sort everything out and put back in correct box at the end of the unit each year. :clap3:

I'm having a quiet one too as I'm saving for a family trip to vietnam next easter :clap3: plus I have just finished renovations on the bathroom and it ended up costing more then expected :redcard: therefore cant afford to go anywhere. Luckily the weather is beautiful here in Townsville.

Hi All For a cheaper alternative I have used cheap clear hair gel with a bottle of glitter mixed in it. A couple of students rub the gel on their hands (glitter simulating germs) students go around the shaking hands with each other, and watch the glitter (germs) spread. Its even quite hard to remove...
