The easiest way to find any MSDS is to goggle it, in search window type formulae or chemical name followed by MSDS that will be enough to find MSDS for any chemical you need.

Conc. HCl must only be dispensed in a fume cupboard. Gloves that are resistant to HCl must be worn e.g. Nitrile or polyethylene-based.

Neutralise using Sodium Carbonate solution (say, 20% W/V). NB. This could generate copious quantities of CO2 Wear eye-protecting goggles.

Dissolve 0.1 g in 100 ml of ethanol (20 %) or 0.04 g in 1.05 ml of
sodium hydroxide solution 0.1 mol/l and make up to 100 ml with water.

Hi Diane,

There is formulae that you can used for any dilution (aqueous)
M1* V1=M2 *V2
Where M 1 is molarity of solution to be diluted
V1 is volume of this solution
M2 is desired molarity
V2 is volume of solution required
To find V1
V1 = M2*V2/M1
