Re: Animals in schools

Only animals we have here are some of the students! Kidding, we do have chooks as we have an ag plot, but the ag guys look after them and I know they come in during the holidays to tend the plots etc so they look after whatever other animals have collected here as well!

Re: Notice boards display cabinets

We have a few of the really old ones that we are trying to get removed from the Science staff room (which was an old lab!) but they are so old and worn that I can't read where they came from!

Re: Laboratory Safety Signs

I was only having a discussion about this yesterday with one of the teachers about students entering the prep room, so thank you for that sign! I have printed out a couple and will get them laminated and put up on the prep room doors right now!!! By the way, it's a great sign!!!

Re: Bromine water

I've discovered we have Bromine water already made up in the Chemstore in bottles that look older than I do. One of the chemistry teachers kindly showed me where to find it and also told me that if anyone asks for it to be made up, it should only be done by a Chemistry teacher or qualified chemist.

NanoHeat Hot Plate

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone uses an AME NanoHeat hot plate (model HTL-801). Ours is only 3 years old and it isn't working properly. It isn't used all that much and only by the teachers, so I dont' think it's had a hard life, but it just will not behave itself! Before I book it in for a, no...

Re: Disabled Access to labs

Considering I am currently working at a Government school, it is interesting that we have no disable access whatsoever. The campus is on multiple levels and has stairs absolutely everywhere! They have actually had to turn students in wheelchairs away, even though they are in-area kids because of no ...
