Re: Job Description

It should be the other way around, your SAM should be providing you with a job description. And if not they should be asking your Head Teacher of Science. Be wary of SAMs wanting to use your time else where. If you use Risk Asses use the spreadsheet option to list all pracs this year and write prepa...

You can use acidified potassium permanganate. In brief Acidified potassium permanganate solution can be used to differentiate between alkanes and alkenes. Alkenes will react with potassium permanganate solution in the presence of sulfuric acid while alkanes will not. During the reaction with an alke...

I set it in petri dishes and stored in the fridge up to ten days, the students lightly press in the nails etc.
I was going to be away when they did the prac so I did it in advance. It worked fine and didn't change colour or go watery.

Hi
I have 2 smallish white baskets wired together to make a cage and 1/2 filled with ping pong balls.
This is a model for a solid when still, liquid when shaken and gas when vigorously shaken.
Questacon has one so I copied it.

Re: Hazardous Chemical register - chemwatch

I could email you the c1/c2 files and you copy them BUT I really don't know what the point would be as the database takes a lot of work and will be replaced soon... we hope.
Alan is an elusive person, he still hasn't even given the Regional WHS officer a reply email.

Re: Hazardous Chemical register - chemwatch

C1/C2 is not a form but a excel database that was issued when CSIS was first introduced. It originally came on a disk and you copied C1 as many times as you had storage areas. Then C2 consolidated all of the C1 files and produces any licences, hazardous lists/information you may need. You can look a...

Re: Hazardous Chemical register - chemwatch

As far as I'm aware of we still use C1/C2 files for High Schools or a basic excel sheet for Primary schools, until further notice by Asset Management. If you don't have an original file I could email you one and you can copy it (But a copy like this will always ask do you want to update linked files...
