Re: chemical waste

Thank you.
I'll look at Cleanaway in our area if possible as a starting point.

Re: chemical waste

I'm hoping the brains trust can help me here. I'm sure that with all the recent flooding in northern NSW and elsewhere there has been a fairly universal problem with mould getting into storage areas. We have been trying to deal with a mould problem in our flammable chemicals store of all places. Con...

Re: Chair Damage

Do people seriously say that?
I'm heading towards the title of 'old person' myself (as are most of us eventually) and don't appreciate this kind of attitude.
Did these people not ever have parents or grandparents?
Makes me think the whole world is 'turning to poo', Bigmack!

Potential replacement required in the near future North Coast NSW

Hi all. Just putting out feelers as I am aiming for retirement potentially this year, or at least taking long term leave next term. :clap3: We are struggling to find anyone to fill my position even on a casual basis. Anyone looking for a tree change may like to make enquiries. PM me with any ideas p...

Re: We don't just "wash up" - other ideas please!

I have to start thinking along these lines too, as I'd like to retire soon. When you've been doing the same job for close enough to 30 years, it's hard to explain to someone new what to do and how to do it. So much of what I do is in my head. Getting it out and making sense of it for someone else is...

Re: Welcome back everyone

Hubby and I had covid in the holidays too. Definitely NOT the way to spend the holidays :redcard: Mine was like a headcold and I just wanted to sleep all day. His was more flu-like, with aches and pains, headaches, stomach pain and felt like he had sand or grit in his eyes. Nearly 3 weeks later he i...

Re: MLD Boards

Ours are on stands and for the first few weeks they sat unused at the back of the room because the teachers were happy with the existing smartboards already mounted on the front wall. Teachers are now happier to use them because they are so much more user friendly than the old ones. We have so much ...

Re: MLD Boards

We have a heap of those here too. They just turned up one day. We didn't even know they were coming. Some of the teachers were very put out, declaring that we didn't need any more technology as we had the old data projectors in every room. Now I think they can't imagine life without them :cheesy: :c...

the last ones I bought are labelled something like Motorcycle Globes.
I'm not sure as I'm working in the library today so I can't check.
They work fine.

Is it the gloves or the powder that is affecting you?
Have you tried powder free?

Re: Chemical Store "odours"

I'm pretty sure ours turns on automatically early in the morning - maybe 5.00ish and runs all day until maybe 5.00ish in the afternoon.
It broke down once and the fumes were ok but I wondered why I could no longer hear it running. Reported it and it was quickly repaired. :clap3:

Re: Food technology ordering program

We are a very small school so these things are a lot simpler here. Our Food Tech teachers meet with the FT assistant once a week and they work out what each prac lesson will be doing and what will be needed. It doesn't take long because there is only one combined 9/10 class, one Year 7 class, 2 Year...
