Re: Buying Chemicals
Thanks for all your input folks. I do have an email login with Westlab but just not one attached to an account. I think I will take the weekend to consider my choices. I, like you all, don't have time to farnarkle around chasing up things that. I don't know about you guys, but I am tiring of having ...

Buying Chemicals
Morning, I usually have purchased my chemicals through Westlab but now the new system of not being able to view chemicals and prices unless I am a registered credit account is a pain in the neck. Of course, my admin don't want me to know our account login. How do you (my trusty brains trust) order c...

I use Milton Antibacterial solution for the safety glasses. I assume if it strong enough for bubs then it should do the trick for safety glasses. Please tell me if it's inadequate...

Re: RiskAssess chemical codes
Morning everyone, I have been reading with interest about the conflict between CSIS and RiskAssess. I am of the opinion (not knowing what date CSIS was produced) that Philip Crisp makes his bread and butter from RiskAssess and can't afford to be wrong. Having been one of the people who originally cr...

I received my three trolleys from Westlab on Monday. They are great! Smooth action, good height, just right! Thanks Westlab!

My question to that Kimmy is, has anyone been able to source the decanoic acid? I'm either having a bad senior moment or I am just useless, but none of my regular suppliers have this...

Re: nitrogen dioxide & dinitrogen tetroxide
Hi all,
I got 1 pair of NO2/N2O4 tubes for equilibrium from a place in WA. In 2014 they cost $134 + freight. The tubes are about 14cm long.
Am I allowed to post the company's information for this specialist item? Or I can pm the info to anyone interested.

Re: PbNO3 + KI experiment?
Hi Ian, I did a search here for comments about lead nitrate 0.1M and RiskAssess has it teacher only. Phillip Crisp suggested making note on your risk assessment that the teacher has assessed the chemical as per D of E CSIS standard current at the time. It at least shows the chemical was assessed eve...
