Re: home loan protection

Hi Superbug,
we are with St George & only refinanced with them the end of last year, I was never asked about hazardous chemicals.
Maybe ask for someone higher up to have a look at your situation.
Cheers

Re: Chemwatch problems

On the 14th the AIS changed independent schools over to the 'new' version of chemwatch. I am still waiting for my IT guys to give me the new web address, log on should then be the same. Did you get any notification about it? it should have gone to your principal/ management. I am not looking forward...

Re: WHAT are new rules on culturing micro-organisms

Hi Nicky, Can they do a before & after so have 1 pre grown plate, that you may be able to do for them, and have a clean plate, so they can see what it looks like first? Just a suggestion. This is something they could give the kids a 'taste' of what they may be doing when they get to the Senior S...

Re: EYE'S

All our eye dissections have been done, the response to the cow eyes- great specimens, lenses were clear except for a spot in the middle of it was a little milky, this had no effect on the dissection :)

Re: Concave & Convex lenses

I have had a look at both of Haines & Westlab, they are all 50mm diameter and various focal lengths, I got confused with this when I looked at their websites. Very confusing #-o I have tried to google it too to see if there are other suppliers with no luck. Thanks for your replies :D

Concave & Convex lenses

We are trying to source larger 100mm diameter or more convex and concave lenses, all my suppliers seem to only have 50mm diameter, can anyone point me in the right direction for the larger more user friendly lenses.
Many thanks

Re: Phenolphthalein Agar

Mel, make sure you added enough agar (10g/500ml) and then bring it to the boil. I have found if I dont boil the agar it wont set properly either. I am a little impatient like Maria :giggle: , but I have not had a problem setting Phenolphthalein agar, just the plates, but you have to stir it while it...
