Acidifing turns it green, but can affect reactions.

When I suggested the air locks the Bio teachers didn't like it, because they use pice of glass bent in swan neck and straight pice in other flask half fill with chicken broth then boil both the one without airlock bend should grow mould. try putting a Iron nail or two in reagent bottle of Iron ll Sulfate this keeps it as Iron ll
If left without nail, it reverts to Iron lll

Got the sthul dropper bottles labeled and filled then did trial. The teacher could not undo screwed whole top off, so I went along and tightened every top and uopened dropper top and tested each one some you just touch and they squirt ( often at an oblique angle ), adjust back slightly and nothing c...

Besides the obvious, Silver Nitrate Pot. Permanganate & Iodine what other stuff reacts with plastic bottles,

Relating story about a certain teacher who forgot to immerse carbon blocks in water later that night they spontanously combusted from that day on known as "torch"

Thank'severyone have 250 Stulle bottles on order. Will trial them for Yr 12 Prac.exam. I'm concerned about Lada's comment about tops freezing and having whole top screw off, as I asaid before as soon as kids go into exam they leave their brains in the bag. Maybe if I wrap plummers teflon tape around...

pH probes have limited life (2 to 3 years normal)
Doyou have any data loggers this is the best when probes refuse to be calibrated at the end of their life just replace probe you still have interface and datalogger

Use round bar or screwdriver shaft to unscrew, if Jet comes out as well warm in flame and use two pair of pliers to unscrew Jet use Flat fine file till top of jet is shiney then borrow Oxy/Acet. Jet cleaners from industrial arts section and run these in & out hole in jet

A Normal Sol'ncontains the gram equivalent of the dissolved substance in a litre
But to be specific with H Cl 1M = N with Sulphuric 1M = 2N Don't try to run with it Just get out of trouble without looking a bit silly
