Hi,

Isn't chloroform a Black dot chemical!!

We did this prac recently and used hexane mixed with acetone as the solvent and this worked really well.

Hi Carol, I'm equally outraged!! I don't know the leagallities of it but if your chem store is anything like mine their would be know way that anyone in ther right mind would want to store books and stationary in it. Mine is a really moist environment so books would go mouldy, Plus it has that lovel...

Thanks for the advice.
I must say I'm very relieved. Our staff meeting last wek was about the new copyright legislation and I started to worry about printing the MSDS. Damn now I'll have to finish them!!

Probably Lead nitrate Pb(NO3)2. We have this made up as one of our dropper bottle class sets.
