Re: Radiation sources
The radioactive sources allowed in WA schools are listed in the DET Science Laboratory Manual in the Physics section.
I have mine stored in a radioactive pot that I purchased when I bought the sources and that is locked in a cash box lined with several sheets of lead in a locked store room.

INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD
Our school has just purchased a mimio interactive whiteboard. I have now been asked if I know of any science programs that other schools have found useful with this tool. Any ideas welcome.

Re: Hydrogen peroxide
The "volume thing" is explained on page 62 of the departments science laboratory manual.
I use the following calculations but I am not guaranteeing accuracy.
16.6ml of 35% per 100ml water gives 20V (or 6%)

Preserved Biological Specimens
In Western Australia we have been told any specimens stored in flammable liquids must be stored in a flammable cupboard. To avoid this it has been suggested that after preserving in the normal way, specimens are then rinsed and stored in a solution of 10ml phenoxytol (2-phenoxyethanol), 50 glycerol ...
