Hi
Does anyone have success when filtering Barium Sulfate? We use Buchner Funnels with the filter paper for barium sulfate from Sc Supply and vacuum pumps on taps but we still don't seem to have success as the sulfate goes through the paper and the solution in the side arm flask is always milky.

Hi
Do we need to print the new GHS labels in colour when we are labeling for an experiment, eg 1.0M Hydrochloric Acid labels onto dropper bottles or 100mL reagent jars for 1 lesson?

GHS and Labels

Hi While you are on the subject of Registers etc how is everyone going with the new GHS, SDS, labelling? We find we can't use the Chemwatch labels as they seem to be too big for dropper bottles and we can't use a colour printer so we have been using the Chemical Label Maker V5 from Omega Scientific ...

GHS labelling clarification

Hi All Is it incorrect to have the (old) numbers on labels now. eg 3, 5.1, 6, 8 etc. Is it that we must only have the pictograms on the label. If this is the case then how do we label dropper bottles as there can be 2 or 3 pictograms required on each bottle. We are using Omega Scientific labels as t...

Omega or Chemwatch, that is the question!

Hi All We use the Omega CD as we have had trouble in the past with Chemwatch. Is this OK? Has anyone used both, and if so, which do you prefer? We do our annual audit on chemwatch and use the site for MSDS if needed but other than that we don't go near it. Any advice would be good as we are at an in...

Data Loggers

We have always used Data Harvest data loggers and they have been fine but we are at the point where we probably need to buy a lot more sensers and so I would like to look at Pasco loggers before we commit more money. Does anyone have am opinion on them?
