Add sodium thiosulfate crystals leave for a few hours to allow MnO2 to form. Filter. MnO2 precipitate can go in the bin. Adjust the filtrate to between pH 4-9 and pour down the sink.

I've only prepared the eggs 24 hours early. I put them in the fridge on moist paper towel in a closed container. They were fine.

You can centrifuge to collect the talcum powder

I add small pieces of styrofoam to my sand/salt/iron filings mix. You could also add talcum powder.

You can buy light corn syrup and corn syrup at the supermarket. I have purchased it from IGA in the past.
