Add sodium thiosulfate crystals leave for a few hours to allow MnO2 to form. Filter. MnO2 precipitate can go in the bin. Adjust the filtrate to between pH 4-9 and pour down the sink.

Hi Kel, We had a few hatchling not make it. Are your eggs on sand? They do need to be kept moist. Give the sand a light spray. Not too much or the eggs may grow mould. I've only prepared the eggs 24 hours early. I put them in the fridge on moist paper towel in a closed container. They were fine.

We purchased an Issco Optek Electronic balance 3000g, 0.01g at the end of last year. It was cheap!! It works fine but it is light and plasticy.

I add small pieces of styrofoam to my sand/salt/iron filings mix. You could also add talcum powder.
